Talk Description
Miss Jacqueline Lo, graduated from ECE at HKUST, started her career as an engineer in manufacturing industry. She will share her experience working in China, and how she got promoted as a Project Manager. Interestingly, Jacqueline then switched her career to be a Human Resource Professional. In the talk, she will share how she can shape her career in a different path, and how to win the 1st HR job with no previous working experience in HR. She will also share some tips on career planning and how to be well prepared to win the 1st job from HR perspective.
 
Biography:
Miss Jacqueline Lo graduated in 2000 with a BEng in Electronic Engineering and in 2002 with a MPhil in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.  Jacqueline started her career in the manufacturing industry, worked as a Project Manager for Automotive projects in China. She is currently employed as Manager, Talent Acquisition at AIA International Limited.
 
Jacqueline is an active member in the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and HKIE.  She was the Past Chairlady of Younger Members Section (YMS), and currently is the Branch Committee of IET Hong Kong.  With the aspiration in helping young engineering professionals and students, Jacqueline has been invited as a speaker in Career Congress organized by IET Hong Kong YMS for more than 5 years, and has also invited as a speaker in Engineering Job Hunt seminar organized by Student Chapter of HKIE since 2015.
