Unveiling the Technologies behind Drones & Flying Cameras

Over 140 Engineering faculty, students and staff attended this seminar about the ECE technologies behind drones and flying cameras. Prof. Zexiang Li gave an overview of entrepreneurship opportunities in the ECE area and introduced students who have successfully started their own companies based on the knowledge and ideas gained from course projects, Robocon, and FYPs. Mr. Mingyu Wang, ECE alumnus who is now working in DJI Innovations, revealed the technologies inside the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) they have developed and showed a live demo of their newest product. The audience was amazed at how the drone could fly inside the lecture theater with such agility and precision.
